ASCOJA Chair
ASCOJA, which consists of 10 Japan Alumni Associations in the respective ASEAN countries, elects one Chairperson and two Vice-Chairpersons once every two years.
ASCOJA Chairperson
- ASCOJA Chairperson shall be elected by the Board of ASCOJA Governors. The Governors shall serve as the head of Delegates from Japan Alumni Associations in the respective ASEAN countries to ASCOJA Council.
- The member countries of ASCOJA take turns to hold ASCOJA Conference once every two years.
- ASCOJA Chairperson is the representative of ASCOJA, which consists of 10 Japan Alumni Associations in the respective ASEAN countries. The chairperson shall be the CEO of ASCOJA to lead ASCOJA businesses, so that ASCOJA can accomplish its mission.
ASCOJA Vice-Chairpersons
- The First and Second Vice-Chairpersons shall be elected by the Board of Governors.
- The First Vice-Chairperson is ASCOJA Governor of the country hosting ASCOJA Conference on the following year. The Second Vice-Chairperson is ASCOJA Governor of the country hosting the conference the year after.
- The two Vice-Chairpersons support the Chairperson, and, together with the Chairperson, are responsible for organizing ASCOJA Conference.
ASCOJA Council
ASCOJA Council is the decision-making body which consists of the representatives from ASCOJA chapters - 10 Japan Alumni Associations in ASEAN.
ASCOJA Council holds regular meetings in accordance with ASCOJA By-Laws, discuss daily activities and problem solving as appropriate, amend ASCOJA By-Laws, and elects the Chairperson and the two Vice-Chairpersons.
The regular meetings are divided into two categories – ASCOJA Governors’ meeting and ASCOJA Council meeting.
(1) ASCOJA Governors’ meeting
ASCOJA Governors’ meeting consists of 10 ASCOJA Governors.
ASCOJA Governors are the head of Delegates from Japan Alumni Associations in the respective ASEAN countries to ASCOJA Council.
(2) ASCOJA Council meeting
ASCOJA Council meeting consists of 5-member delegations from 10 ASCOJA chapters.
Each delegation is headed by ASCOJA Governor in the respective ASCOJA Chapter.
